Author Bio(s)

Jeannie Novak is lead author and series editor of the Game DevelopmentEssentials series. Through Indiespace, an interactive entertainment company shefounded in 1994, Jeannie consults with creative professionals in the music, filmand television industries to help them migrate to the game industry. Novak is agame instructor and course development expert at the Art Institute Online, UCLAExtension, Art Center College of Design, Academy of Entertainment and Technologyat Santa Monica College, DeVry University, and Westwood College. She is a memberof the International Game Developers Association (IGDA), and has served onselection committees for the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS).

Marianne Krawczyk has successfully transitioned from television to the worldof video games. Marianne wrote the story for Sony's highly acclaimed God of War.She was also hired to rewrite the dialogue for Midway's Area 51 -- a militarysci-fi first-person shooter. Marianne is currently working on severalnon-disclosed game projects.
